Who We Are

HealthNet Federal Credit Union was founded in 1955 to serve the financial needs of the employees of Baptist Memorial Hospital located in Memphis, Tennessee. HealthNet Federal Credit Union, formerly known as Baptist Memorial Federal Credit Union, is a full-service financial institution dedicated to providing quality services to the working employees and families of the Healthcare Community. Our Mission is to serve the healthcare community with quality services that are competitive and promote the financial well-being of our members and the safety and soundness of our organization. Over the years, our organization has grown to over 6,700 members with assets over $50 million.

As a not-for-profit cooperative, we offer higher rates on your invested dollars and provide low-cost loans to meet your financial needs.

Membership Eligibility

Employees, independent contractors, or self-employed persons who work regularly in the Healthcare Industry in Shelby, Lauderdale, or Henderson Counties, Tennessee, or Desoto, Lafayette, Union or Prentiss Counties, Mississippi, or St. Francis, Mississippi, or Fulton Counties, Arkansas, meaning they work at or provide the following services or products:

  • Assisted living facilities

  • Birthing centers

  • Blood, organ and tissue banks

  • Health clinics

  • Health maintenance organizations (HMO) medical facilities

  • Home health care

  • Hospices

  • Hospitals

  • Medical and diagnostic labs

  • Medical transcription services

  • Nursing homes and services

  • Offices of chiropractors, dentists, licensed therapists, optometrists, physicians, podiatrists, psychologists

  • Pain centers

  • Paramedic services

  • Pharmacy services and

  • Rehabilitation centers providing medical treatment or licensed psychological or physical therapy
